4.1. WHY DO WE COLLECT YOUR DATA?


1. To enable you to visit our website

Please note that the data we collect during your visit to our website https://school-online.com is necessary for you to view our site, to ensure the stability and security of our website and to provide you with an optimal browsing experience. 


2. To allow you to visit the website for informational purposes


When you visit our website for informational purposes only, without providing us with any personal information, we only collect the personal data transmitted by your browser, namely: your IP address, your geographical location, the date and time of your visit, the page viewed, the access status, the http status code, the website from which your request originates, your operating system and its interface, the language and the software version of your browser.


3. To allow you to visit our website to check your eligibility for the courses


When you visit our website and actively consent to send us your data, by inserting your details into our online form, in order to find out more about our services, check your eligibility for training, receive an invitation to our events and have one of our training coaches contact you to help you with your project.  To this end, we collect: your last name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number (for telephone and SMS contact), postal address if applicable (for certificate dispatch), date of birth, professional status, level of study and training course.  In order to provide you with the best possible service, we also collect your choice of remote or face-to-face appointments and your choice of campus.


4. To allow you to visit the website for the purpose of registering and purchasing courses


When you visit our website and actively consent to send us your data by entering it in our online form in order to register and purchase our services, we collect: your last name, first name, e-mail address, telephone number (for telephone and SMS contact), postal address if applicable (for sending certificates), date of birth, professional status, level of study and training course.  

When you register, your e-mail address will also be used as a login to 360 Learning (which manages and hosts our training courses), to put you in contact with your training coach, to send you reminder e-mails about an appointment, to send you invitations to our events or to inform you of an exceptional announcement/promotion.


5. Data retention period

 

We process your data in accordance with the legitimate interest of SCHOOL ONLINE UNIVERSITY derived from the purposes mentioned in this Data Protection Policy (art. 6. paragraph 1 of the GDPR). SCHOOL ONLINE UNIVERSITY undertakes not to retain your personal data beyond a period of five (5) years, starting from the date of data collection.  If you visit our website for information purposes only, your data will only be stored for the duration of your visit.  At the end of this period, it will be deleted from all media and backup copies. We do not keep your data for longer than necessary, unless it is still of administrative interest to the organization (e.g. for the management of a possible dispute, etc.) or must be kept to comply with a legal obligation (e.g. billing data must be kept for ten years in application of the Commercial Code, even if the data subject is no longer a customer of SCHOOL ONLINE UNIVERSITY). The data may then be consulted from time to time by specifically authorized persons

We will retain your data for twelve (12) months in order to be able to respond to any queries related to the application process and to comply with our evidentiary obligations under the law. However, if your request is unsuccessful, we will delete your data after twelve (12) months, and if you withdraw your request, we will delete your data immediately.
